01Who we are
This website, devent.co.in, is owned and operated by Dev Enterprises (“Dev Enterprises”, “we”, “us” or “our”), an infrastructure services business based in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy. This means we decide why and how it is used. We publish this policy in line with the DPDP Act and the rules made under it, and with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
Our contact details are in section 15.
02What this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal data that we collect:
- through this website, including the contact form on our home page and our Get a Quote form;
- when you call, email or message us (including on WhatsApp) about our services; and
- when you become a client and we work with you on a project or a travel booking.
It does not cover other websites that we link to. It also does not cover information about our own employees and contractors, which we handle under separate internal policies.

Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our web hosting server automatically records standard technical information. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, and the date and time of your visit. We use these server logs only to keep the website secure, fix problems and understand basic usage.
Information we do not ask for
We do not ask for passwords, bank account or card details, health information or biometric data through this website. Please do not include such information in our forms or messages.
04How we use your information
We use your personal data only for clear, specific purposes:
| Purpose | Information used |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and contacting you about it | Name, contact details and message |
| Preparing quotations, proposals and site surveys | Project details, location, timeline and budget range |
| Delivering services, making travel bookings, managing contracts and invoicing | Contact, business, booking and billing details |
| Improving our services and understanding how people find us | Service of interest and “How did you hear about us?” |
| Keeping our website secure and working properly | Server logs |
| Meeting our legal, tax and accounting obligations | Records we are required by law to keep |
| Sending you updates or offers about our services | Contact details, only with your consent |
We will not use your personal data for a new purpose unrelated to the one you gave it for without telling you first. Where the law requires it, we will also ask for your consent.
05Why we are allowed to use it
When you voluntarily send us your details for a specific purpose, such as asking for a quotation, we use them for that purpose, as the DPDP Act permits. For anything beyond that, such as sending you marketing messages, we rely on your consent.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email us or use the opt-out option in our messages. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it. However, we may no longer be able to provide a service that depends on it.
We may also process personal data where the law requires or allows it, for example to comply with a court order or a lawful request from a government authority.
06Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only when needed, and only with:
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as our website hosting, email and form-delivery providers. They process data on our behalf and are expected to keep it confidential and secure.
- Project partners and suppliers, such as subcontractors, equipment suppliers, airlines, hotels and transport operators. We share data with them only as far as needed to deliver a service you have asked for.
- Professional advisers, such as our accountants, auditors and lawyers, who have a duty of confidentiality.
- Government authorities, courts or law-enforcement agencies, when the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
- A buyer or successor, if our business or part of it is sold, merged or restructured. They must use your data in line with this policy.
07Cookies & third-party services
Our website does not use cookies for advertising or tracking, and we do not currently use analytics tools. If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy first. Where the law requires it, we will also ask for your consent.
To display the website, your browser loads some fonts and images from third-party servers: Google Fonts (provided by Google) and Unsplash (an image library). When this happens, those providers receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. They handle it under their own privacy policies.
Our website links to other websites and social media pages. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data, so please read their privacy policies. If you message us on WhatsApp or another messaging app, that app's provider also processes your messages under its own terms.
08Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on servers run by our hosting and email providers, which may be in India or in other countries. When personal data is transferred outside India, we follow Indian law, including any restrictions the Government of India notifies under the DPDP Act.
09How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: kept only as long as we reasonably need to respond and follow up, then deleted.
- Clients and bookings: project, booking and billing records are kept for the length of our relationship, and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting and other laws require.
- Server logs: kept for a limited period for security purposes, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
When we no longer need your personal data, we delete it or make it anonymous. If you withdraw consent, we will stop using the data that depended on it. We will also delete that data, unless a law requires us to keep it.
10How we protect it
We use reasonable security safeguards to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. These include:
- limiting access to the people in our team who need it for their work;
- using reputable hosting and email providers; and
- keeping our systems updated.
No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as required by law. We will tell you what happened, the likely impact and what we are doing about it.
11Your rights
Under Indian data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correction and updating: ask us to correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw consent: at any time, for any processing that is based on your consent.
- Grievance redressal: raise a concern with us and receive a response.
- Nominate: name another person to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to do so yourself.
To use any of these rights, email info@devent.co.in with the subject “Privacy request”. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on it. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act.
12Children's privacy
Our website and services are meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through this website. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Where a travel booking includes children, we collect their details only from their parent or guardian, and only for that booking.
13Marketing messages
We send news, offers or updates about our services only if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email or message tells you how to stop receiving them, for example by replying “STOP” or by emailing us. Opting out of marketing does not affect messages about an enquiry or project you have with us.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how our forms work or add new tools to the website. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will highlight them on this page.
15Contact & Grievance Officer
For any question, request or complaint about this policy or your personal data, please contact our Grievance Officer:
We will acknowledge your request and resolve it within 30 days of receiving it.
